This volume is a register of persons transferred from the temporary to the permanent staff of the Public Service, under section 11 of the Public Service Act, 59 Vic. no.25, of the following government departments: Chief Secretary, Treasury, Attorney General, Lands, Public Works, Justice, Public Instruction, Mines and Postal and Electric Telegraph Department. In each case the following details are given: reference to papers, date of transfer, name, age, position held, department, length of service, salary as temporary officer, salary as permanent officer and reasons for the transfer.
