Sediment cores retrieved during the MR24-06C cruise

Sediment cores from the Beaufort Seas were collected in summer 2024 at four sites on the Canadian continental shelf and Alaskan upper continental slope to reconstruct changes in the marine and terrestrial environments to provide a comprehensive picture of the ocean environment during the preindustrial period before anthropogenic influences.2024年夏季，研究人员在加拿大大陆架及阿拉斯加大陆坡上部的四个采样点采集了波弗特海（Beaufort Seas）的沉积物岩芯（sediment cores），旨在重建海洋与陆地环境的变化历程，从而全面展现受人为活动影响之前的工业化前时期的海洋环境整体图景。
