Asynchronous viral spread of two unrelated viruses determines Lettuce Big Vein Disease symptom development

Lettuce Big Vein Disease (LBVD) is a disease complex involving at least multiple viruses, transmitted by the soilborne fungus Olpidium virulentus. Soil samples originating from symptomatic plants were used to perform reinfections on Lactuca sativa cv.
