Biodiversity of insects in Graslands and Woodlot

It was measured the abundance of species of insects attracted by different colors in two habitats. One is the Grassland and the other is the Woodlot, both at east of Stong Pond at York University. The experiment was realized on September 30, 2014, between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., the temperature was 19ᵒC . In the first part was distributed six bowls in different areas of the Grassland. The bowls were placed in three groups of three, forming a circle. Their colours was yellow, white and blue. They were almost full with soapy water. Then in the Woodlot was done the same procedure. Six different bowls were spreaded in three groups of three, forming a circle and almost full with soapy water. At the end of the experiment, were collected all the bowls and were counted how many insects were in each bowl and how many different species in each one.
