Acid sulphate soil

The data set ‘Sur sulphate soil’ shows where acidic sulphate soils may be found along the coasts of Västernorrland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten. The SGU report 2019:13 describes the soils in more detail, as well as how they are investigated and classified (Becher et al. 2019). The modeled map shows the predicted distribution of acid sulphate soil. The point observations come from mapping and sampling of acid sulphate soil carried out in various projects at SGU. The classes of the surface-covering model are: ”Ej sur sulfatjord” ”Aktiv sur sulfatjord på potentiell sur sulfatjord” ”Potentiell sur sulfatjord” In addition, for each class, there is a separate grid showing how safe the classification is in each cell (from 0 to 100% probability).
