This study explores the implementation and impact of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the manufacturing sector, focusing on HR professionals' perspectives in Bangalore and Chennai. Employing a descriptive research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with six HR professionals. Key findings highlight effective strategies such as blind recruitment, unbiased job descriptions, cultural competency training, and inclusive performance management. Despite these advancements, challenges persist, including resistance to change, inadequate managerial support, and limited participation in DEI initiatives. The study reveals that DEI practices positively influence employee engagement, innovation, and talent retention, fostering a more inclusive and equitable workplace. Structural integration of DEI into recruitment, training, and performance management, alongside cultural shifts towards inclusivity, is critical for sustained organizational success. The research emphasizes the need for continuous efforts and broader studies to evaluate the long-term impact of DEI initiatives in diverse sectors.
