Shapefile showing boundaries of world timezones with attributes giving the identity of each timezone and UTC offset. Shapefile distributed at http://efele.net/maps/tz/world/ under a public domain dedication license was downloaded. This Shapefile has a TZID attribute identifying timezone e.g. America/Chicago. Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone.tab was used to add a UTC_OFFSET attribute to the Shapefile giving standard time offset in each timezone from Coordinated Universal Time. Summer time will differ from this value. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2011-09-19 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
