RNA-Seq on cherry tomato plants exposed to heat and/or salt stress

This project aimed to study the molecular response of cherry tomato plants exposed to individual or combined heat and salt stress, two factors which are gaining particular relevance in the Mediterranean region. Heat stress was applied as a daily exposure to 42 degrees Celsius, for four hours each day, and salt stress was imposed by irrigation with 100 mM NaCl. Stress treatments lasted for 21 days and samples were collected from roots and shoots of plants from all experimental groups.
