The History of Anthropogenic Phosphorus Inputs (HaPi) dataset provides a comprehensive reconstruction of human-driven phosphorus (P) fluxes to terrestrial ecosystems from 1860 to 2020. Developed at a spatial resolution of 5 arc-minutes (approximately 10 km at the equator) with annual time steps, HaPi offers a globally consistent and spatially explicit record of long-term P inputs. The dataset harmonizes seven major components of anthropogenic P supply, including fertilizer application on croplands and pastures, manure application on croplands and pastures, manure deposition on pastures and rangelands, and atmospheric deposition. By capturing both spatial and temporal dynamics, HaPi serves as a critical resource for quantifying global and regional nutrient budgets, assessing environmental impacts, and providing robust forcing data for Earth system and biogeochemical models.This dataset is described in a companion paper to be submitted to Earth System Science Data.
