Determining Factors and Perceived Barriers to Intermittent Preventive Treatment with Sulfadoxine-Pyrimethamine Uptake during Pregnancy among Postpartum Mothers in an Urban District of Ghana

Our study investigates critical factors and barriers affecting the uptake of intermittent preventive treatment (IPT) with sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine during pregnancy, focusing on postpartum mothers in an urban district of Ghana. This research is significant as it provides insights into public health challenges and helps identify potential interventions to improve maternal and fetal health outcomes in regions affected by malaria. By addressing these barriers, we aim to contribute to the broader discourse on effective strategies for IPT implementation and maternal health care.
