Occupational safety and health in post-pandemic workplaces.<br>Topics: impact of the use of digital technologies in personal workplace: increases workload, determines speed or pace of personal work, reduces personal autonomy, increases surveillance, results in working alone; use of selected digital devices by the employer to: supervise or monitor work and behaviour of employees, automatically allocate tasks or working time to employees, have employees‘ performance rated by third parties, monitor noise and other factors in the working environment, monitor vital functions of employees; exposure to the following factors in the workplace: severe time pressure or overload of work, violence or verbal abuse from other persons, harassment or bullying, poor communication or cooperation within the organisation, lack of autonomy or of influence over work pace or processes; personal health compared to other colleagues in the same age group; occurrence of the following health problems caused or made worse by work in the last year: stress or depression or anxiety, problems of the musculoskeletal system or pain, infectious diseases, headaches or eyestrain, accidents or injuries, overall fatigue, other health problems related to work, none; availability of the following initiatives in the workplace: awareness raising or other activities to provide information on health and safety, access to counselling or psychological support, information and training on well-being and coping with stress, consultation of workers about stressful aspects of work, other measures to address stress at work; attitude towards the following statements on stress and mental health in the workplace: disclosing a mental health condition would impact negatively on personal career, respondent would feel comfortable speaking to his*her manager or supervisor about personal mental health, Covid-19 pandemic has made it easier to talk about stress and mental health at work, personal work stress has increased as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic; attitude towards the safety rules at own place of work: are a good thing, make own job more difficult to do, both; attitude towards the following statements: safety problems are addressed promptly in the workplace, good measures taken to protect workers’ health in the workplace, workers are encouraged to report safety and health issues in the workplace, consideration of workers‘ rights in personal purchasing decisions, products and services produced respecting workers’ rights should be clearly labelled and advertised accordingly, organisations with high health and safety standards are more likely to attract job-seekers. Demography: nationality; information about the company: number of employees, NACE-Code; number of mobile phones used; age; sex; age at end of education; highest completed level of full time education; occupation; professional position; full time or part time job; share of income earned for working for a digital platform; use of any of the following digital devices for main job: desktop computer, laptop or other portable computer device, wearable devices, broadband technology to access the internet, machines or robots with artificial intelligence, robots that interact; location worked mostly in in the last year: employer’s or own business’ premises, clients’ premises, car or another vehicle, outside site, own home, public spaces; region. Additionally coded was: respondent ID; country; type of phone line; nation group; weighting factor.
