Camera Trap Dataset of Urban and Peri-urban Mammals in Brno (Czech Republic)

The dataset contains records obtained through long-term camera trap monitoring of wild mammals in an urban and peri-urban environment. It is based on a spatially representative and systematically designed network of camera traps covering the entire ecological gradient of the city of Brno, from densely built-up urban areas to suburban forests and agricultural landscapes. The dataset enables assessment of species composition, relative activity, seasonal dynamics, and spatial distribution of mammals within the urban landscape. It provides reproducible and comparable data suitable for applied analyses, crisis management, and decision-making by local and regional authorities, particularly with regard to risk species and conflict-prone locations.
