Preservation of Australia's Arid Zone Environments: Stage 1

This project will give Green Army participants a range of skills and experiences in natural resource management by enhancing the restoration of the Arid Lands ecosystems and protecting regionally and nationally threatened species, including through control of weed species of national significance and Buffel Grass. The Green Army participants will gain skills in: plant identification (in particular, provenance species); seed collection techniques; propagation; project management; flora and fauna surveys; weed control; erosion mitigation techniques; feral animal control; and conduct of community engagement events.
