Female Warriors in the History of Bundelkhand

The history of Bundelkhand is very old. Its story is full of the valour of kings and princes who ruled over Bundelkhand for many years. It is the biasness of our patriarchal society that female presentation in history and literature is trivial. This paper aims to represent the valour and contribution of female warriors in the history of Bundelkhand who were renowned, forgotten or contemporary female warriors such as Rani Durgavati. Rani Avantibai. Rani Laxmibai, Jhalkari Bai, Phoolan Devi, Sampat Devi Pal and Water Warriors. Both the individual and collective female identity have struggled hard and proved their important place in challenging and changing their troublesome circumstance.
