Targeting TaNPF6.2/TaNRT1.4, we aim to explore the function of this gene in regulating nitrogen use efficiency in wheat. Based on the creation of overexpressing TaNPF6.2/TaNRT1.4 wheat and gene editing materials, the function of this gene in response to nitrogen stress was analyzed at the root morphology, physiological, and molecular biology levels through nitrogen treatment at different concentrations. Combined with transcriptome analysis, the possible regulatory pathways involved were identified, providing candidate genes and theoretical support for the improvement and cultivation of high nitrogen use efficiency wheat varieties.
