Genome sequencing of two strains of Jeotgalibaca dankookensis. Jeotgalibaca dankookensis

The genus Jeotgalibaca in the family Carnobacteriaceae was established with Jeotgalibaca dankookensis as the type species (Lee et al., 2014). The type strain (= KCCM 90229T) of J. dankookensis was isolated from salted and fermented shrimp (a traditional Korean seafood called seujeot in Korea). We isolated another strain CL-AS1 from alkaline and fermented skate (Raja pulchra) showing a high similarity of 99.9 % with the type strain of J. dankookensis in comparison of 16S rRNA gene sequences. Here, whole genome sequencing of the two strains was attempted to find intra-strain variation of genomes.
