资源简介:
This is a cross-sectional reference dataset of muscle size and strength outcomes of a cohort of typically developing children, aged 0.5 to 18 years.
Muscle size was assessed through 3D freehand ultrasound and muscle strength through fixed dynamometry.
Muscle size parameters include muscle volume (mL), muscle belly length (mm) and mid-belly cross-sectional area (mm^2) of the m. rectus femoris, distal part of m. semitendinosus, m. tibialis anterior and m. medial gastrocnemius.
Muscle strength parameters include maximal force (N) and maximal torque (Nm) obtained through maximal isometric voluntary contractions for hip (flexion, extension and abduction), knee (flexion and extension) and ankle muscles (dorsiflexion and plantar flexion).
