Data and R script for: Multi-year and annual variation in fall migratory timing of songbirds captured across a 19-year time span in northeastern Pennsylvania, USA.
收藏资源简介:
Two datasets and one file containing R code used to look for multi-year change in precipitation and temperature and mulit-year change in fall (~2nd week of August through mid-October) passage timing of 13 avian species. We also looked for associations between annual variation in passage timing by migration distance category (long vs short distance), age, sex, number of broods in a breeding season, and mean temperature and precipitation during each fall migratory period while controling for capture location (site). The file called fall_timing.csv contains 13 years of fall, first capture only data spanning a 19 year period (2006 - 2024) for 13 avian species, along with study site (3 capture locations all within 1.8 km), sex, age, body molt score (only birds with no or a trace of molt were included in the analyses), temperature and precipitation data averaged across each fall season for a given year collected within 200 km north of the study site, bounded by 70W and 80W. Also included for each species are number of broods produced in a breeding season, migration distance category (long or short), and diet category. The file called fall_temp_precip.csv was used to look for long-term change in temperature and preciptiation within 200 km north of the study location, again bounded by 70W and 80W. This file contains daily temperature and precipitation averaged across all weather stations and year within this area during the fall migratory period (~2nd week of August through mid-October). The file called code_for_share_update.pdf contains R script used to perform all analyses.
