Global distribution of offshore GF sites. 1a–5e, Zoom-in insets of the northern Gulf of Mexico (GOM) (1a), the southern GOM (1b), the North Sea (2), the Persian Gulf (3), the Gulf of Guinea (4), and the South China Sea (5a–5e) and their surrounding waters. The colours of GF sites represent the sum of the yearly GF radiance contributions (GF-RCs) derived from time-series cloud-free MSI observations from 2016 to 2021 (green = low and red = high). This file can be opened by Acrmap 10.5.
