Anthrax is a public health problem in the developing countries especially Indonesia where a lot of traditional farmer and village communities live in interface with livestock. To elucidate genomic features of Bacillus anthracis strains isolated in Indonesia, whole genome sequencing was conducted for strains of Bacillus anthracis isolated from Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta province of Indonesia from 2007 - 2021 and compared with worldwide lineages of Bacillus anthracis.
