LAS MUJERES EN LA JUSTICIA Y SEGURIDAD EN EL MUNDO (The women in justice and security around the world)

El artículo examina la evolución del papel de las mujeres en estos campos a lo largo de la
historia. Inicialmente relegadas a roles secundarios, las mujeres han ganado presencia y
reconocimiento gracias a movimientos feministas, reformas legales y políticas de igualdad
de género. Hoy las mujeres participan activamente en fuerzas policiales, militares y la
judicatura, enfrentando y superando desafíos como la discriminación y el acoso. Su presencia
ha fortalecido los sectores de justicia y seguridad, contribuyendo a enfoques más inclusivos
y efectivos en la resolución de conflictos y la administración de justicia. A pesar de los
avances, es importante continuar promoviendo la participación femenina para mejorar la
eficacia y equidad en estos sistemas a nivel global.

(The article examines the evolution of women's roles in these fields throughout history.
Initially relegated to secondary roles, women have gained presence and recognition thanks
to feminist movements, legal reforms, and gender equality policies. Today, women actively
participate in police forces, the military, and the judiciary, facing and overcoming challenges
such as discrimination and harassment. Their presence has strengthened the justice and
security sectors, contributing to more inclusive and effective approaches to conflict
resolution and the administration of justice. Despite the progress, it is important to continue
promoting female participation to improve efficiency and equity in these systems globally.)
