Dataset and code for: "A salinity‑threshold framework for predicting nitrogen trap and nutrient decoupling in arid terminal lakes" This repository contains the complete set of field data, model inputs, and reproducible analysis scripts for the manuscript "A salinity‑threshold framework for predicting nitrogen trap and nutrient decoupling in arid terminal lakes" (Li et al., 2026, Earth's Future). Contents: Field sampling data (2023) for surface water and sediment porewater chemistry, including TDS, major ions, TN, and TP (16 paired sites). Long‑term monitoring data (2004–2023) for TDS, TN, and TP used for trend analysis and threshold detection. Python scripts for segmented regression (Figure 4), future scenario simulations under SSP2‑4.5 (Figure 5), and correlation analysis. R scripts for scatterplot matrix (Figure 3 / Fig. S5) and Mantel‑correlation combined plots. Pre‑processed CMIP6 climate forcing data and Monte Carlo uncertainty propagation routines. Reproducibility:All scripts are fully documented. Running the provided scripts in sequence reproduces all main figures and statistical results reported in the manuscript.
