The role of reward expectation in the modulation of inhibitory control: behavior data and neural recordings from monkey premotor area (v1)

The goal of the experiment is to evaluate the role of reward expectation on decision-making. Two animals (Macaca mulatta) have been trained to perform a modified version of the reaching stop-signal task in which the motor decision was influenced by the information provided by visual cues presented at the beginning of each trial. We recorded behavioral data (arm reaction times and performance) together with neural data. Neural recording was obtained from multielectrode arrays (n = 96 channels) chronically implanted in the dorsal premotor area and processed for single unit extraction. At this stage, we share a subset (from subject 1; 9.0 – 10.0 kg, 8 years) of the final dataset that can be used to evaluate and test the implemented analysis pipeline.
