Malignant lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects lymph nodes. This dataset covers three subtypes of malignant lymphoma: CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia), FL (follicular lymphoma), and MCL (mantle cell lymphoma). The ability to distinguish between these lymphoma subtypes using hematoxylin and eosin (H+E) stained, sectioned biopsy specimens will enable more consistent and less demanding diagnosis of this disease. At present, only the most specialized pathologists who focus exclusively on these lymphoma subtypes can consistently and accurately classify these three subtypes from H+E stained biopsy samples. The standard clinical practice for reliable differentiation of these subtypes involves the use of class-specific probes.
