The Habsburg Manifesto Dataset (HMD) provides data on the group appeals and policy positions of political parties competing in the Western half of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy between 1897 and 1911. The data is based on the content analysis of election announcements and party programmes authored by Czech and German parties.
