Whole genome resequencing of the Mediterranean basin fig tree (Ficus carica L.) GeneBank collection provides insights into genome diversity and fruit quality traits

Herein, we sequence 53 genotypes to identify genome-wide variations, including single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), small insertions, and deletions (InDels), structural variations (SVs), and copy number variations (CNVs). These variations are further analyzed to understand genome features and population structure to aid in further research and applications.
