Whole-Exome Sequencing of Pediatric Patients with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome and Severe COVID-19

This study aimed to identify pathogenic genetic variants in pediatric patients diagnosed with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) and severe COVID-19. By conducting whole-exome sequencing, we sought to uncover genetic differences that may contribute to the distinct clinical presentations of these conditions. The results from this study enhance our understanding of the genetic factors involved in pediatric inflammatory responses to SARS-CoV-2 and contribute to the growing database of genetic variants in the Brazilian population.
