NRS-2465 | Indexes to entrance books [State Penitentiary, Long Bay]

These volumes are labelled "Identification Book", and appear to have been used as indexes to fingerprint records in the Fingerprint Identification Bureau at the Gaol. However, as they give the gaol number for each prisoner, they can also serve the purpose of at least partially indexing the Entrance books, 1914-49 (3/8048-104). The first volume (3/14095) also includes references to fingerprint records at other New South Wales gaols, 1907-14. (3/14095-99, 19/17549-57). 14 vols.
