The draft genome of Lentinus squarrosulus Lesq3, an important ligninolytic and edible mushroom, has been sequenced to provide insights into its genetic composition and metabolic potential. The genome was sequenced using high-throughput next-generation sequencing technologies, yielding a draft assembly of approximately 27 Mb. Annotation revealed key genes involved in lignin degradation, carbohydrate metabolism, and secondary metabolite biosynthesis, which contribute to its ecological adaptability and potential industrial applications.
