The goal of this study was to characterize the effects of chronic heat stress (HS) in C. elegans at the molecular level. RNA was collected from wild-type (N2) day 1 adults (after onset of egg-laying) that were exposed to 1-hour (acute), 24-hour (mid), or 48-hour (chronic) 28C HS. Read counts were normalized to day 1 adults not exposed to HS (20C controls) to determine the differentially expressed genes.
