A clinical approach, which features comprehensive evaluation and management of the transsexual or transvestite from a supportive viewpoint, encouraging a continuation of the patient's cross-gender behavior is described. No consideration of any other theoretical approach to the understanding and treatment of these conditions is apparent. The psychopathology and psychodynamics underlying the difficulties are minimized. While interesting, this is an unstructured and excessively lengthy production. It is recommended with reservations for the use of the clinical trainee or practitioner in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and social work. and In this program, Dr. Milton M.
