Fragmentation disrupts microbial effects on native plant community productivity

The purpose of this project was survey the soil microbiome of 15 urban pine rockland fragments. Soils were collected from 15 pine rockland fragments in Miami-Dade County and their adjacent urban matrix (totaling 30 samples). Fungal and prokaryotic communities were surveyed by amplicon sequencing of ITS1 and 16S_V4 regions, respectively. Samples were sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq platform (v3, 300bp paired-end sequencing) at the University of Miami Genomics Core. Data was processed through QIIME2. This data was used for the analyses in the associated article of this BioProject.
