The University of Melbourne - Extrusion Filter RUL Dataset

This dataset combines 60 run-to-failure experiments of a polymer extrusion filter. Failure is reached when the contaminants have fully clogged the filter (no throughput) or the filter has burst (inrush of contaminants into the final product). The extruded material is ExxonMobil LLDPE 6101, contamination is achieved by mixing the polymer with calcite. 80 openings per inch 304 Stainless Steel mesh filters are employed. The extruder is a single screw Filabot EX6 extruder, fitted with a EX6-625 standard screw and 1.75mm filament die. In Labels.csv, the lifetime and failure mode of the filter for each run can be found. In Extruder_Parameters.zip, extruder temperature and screw motor variables (voltage and current) are recorded at 1Hz, for each run, in .csv format. In Extruder_Current.zip, the total electrical current draw of the extruder is recorded, for each run, at 1 kHz., in .csv format. This dataset is adapted to RUL estimation, failure mode classification and prognostics (combination of both RUL estimation and failure mode classification).
