The Euclid Data Release 1 (DR1) is an initiative of ESA and the Euclid Consortium. The core content of Euclid DR1 includes wide survey observations for a total sky coverage of about 1900 deg2. Roughly 500 deg2 are observations taken in the Northern hemisphere and 1400 deg2 are taken in the Southern hemisphere. In addition to the wide survey, DR1 also includes data from the Euclid deep fields, the calibration fields, as well as observations taken before the start of the nominal survey.
