To identify transcripts differentially expressed in pole cells with overexpression of Importin-alpha2 (Impa2OE) and/or maternal mutation in polar granule component (pgc-), we isolated pole cells from normal (y w), pgc-/+; impa2OE, and pgc-; impa2OE embryos carrying the transgene, EGFP-Vasa, at 2-3 hr AEL, and processed these cells for RNA-seq.
