Coronal activity cycles in solar analog stars

We propose continuation of our longterm monitoring program to identify andstudy the cyclic behavior of the coronal emission of stars similar to our Sun,that has been ongoing since XMM.s AO1. Five stars in three stellar systems havebeen monitored at regular cadence for almost two decades, providing for thefirst time clear evidence of longterm cycles in the coronal activity of normalstars. Thanks to the program.s continuity, this is a data set with unique legacyvalue for the understanding of normal stellar coronae. Continuation of theprogram into AO19 is needed to progress in the understanding of the coronalbehavior across different activity cycles, and to link the extant time series ofXMM data with the photometric Xray monitoring that will be performed by eROSITA. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
