Spatial correlates of response to stem cell transplantation in TP53-mutated acute myeloid leukemia.

We analyzed the spatial organization of pre-treatment bone marrow samples from 23 Caucasian patients with acute myeloid leukemia harboring somatic TP53 abnormalities (N = 18 with multi-hit disease [TP53 mutation with concomitant deletion of chromosome 17 or 17p]; N = 5 with single-hit disease; no germline mutations) who received allogeneic stem cell transplantation. We utilized the GeoMx™ Whole Transcriptome Atlas (WTA), which encompasses ~18,670 protein-coding genes and we defined 232 spatially resolved regions-of-interest (ROIs).
