Ocean acidification metrics in the western Arctic Ocean during 1994-2025

This synthesized data product consists of gridded fields of seawater temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and the aragonite saturation state (Ωarag) for the western Arctic Ocean, covering the period from 1994 to 2025. The data were compiled from multiple sources, including GLODAPv2.2023, the Beaufort Gyre Exploration Project hosted at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Data Center (WHODC), the Chinese National Arctic and Antarctic Data Center (NADC), the Following Arctic/Antarctic iCE (FACE) expedition, and the Arctic Challenge for Sustainability (ArCS) II program. All contributing datasets were subjected to quality control procedures consistent with the GLODAP quality control protocol. This dataset is designed to support assessments of long-term variability and trends in ocean acidification in the western Arctic Ocean.
