The archives contain the company data based in Tuscany, its employees and the local units active in our region, regardless of the company headquarters. The information is taken from the ISTAT ASIA archive (Archvio Statistico delle Imprese Attive), which is the result of a process of integration between different administrative sources (Chambers of Commerce, INPS, Revenue Agency, etc.). The archive provides the information base for analyses of the evolution of the structure of enterprises, their demography and the characteristics of employment. Economic activities related to agriculture and fisheries, public administration, and activities of associative organisations and extraterritorial bodies are excluded from the scope of observation.Information on economic activity is presented at the first level of detail (SECTION) of the broader Ateco2007 classification (2022 update). PLEASE NOTE: In implementation of Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 on European business statistics (‘EBS Regulation’), 2019 data are used to disseminate companies that have been active for at least one day in the reference year (until 2018, active companies are those that have been productive for at least six months in the reference year). For this reason, starting from 2019 data, full comparability with the historical series of previous years is not guaranteed. The information present in the archives, with reference to companies, local units and employees, constitute an update of data of census source, the knowledge of which is considered of particular interest. With Article 37(2)(e) of Law No 144/1999 of 17 May 1999, the legislator explicitly authorised its dissemination to municipal retailers, even in cases where the frequency is less than 3 units.
