资源简介:
This is data from experimental laboratory study which was conducted on Acinetobacter baumannii ATCC 19606 isolate and three clinical isolates with different antibiotic susceptibility types. Meropenem and ampicillin-sulbactam as well as meropenem and amikacin in concentrations of 0,5 MIC+0,5 MIC, 1 MIC+1 MIC, 2 MIC+2 MIC, and 2 MIC+0,5 MIC were tested against isolates. Turbidity measurements were made at the predetermined time point of 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 24 hours after exposure; bacterial concentration was enumerated using the agar plate method.
These data represent the turbidity and colony count data of the Acinetobacter baumannii test suspension after being subjected to the combination antibiotic. Data were obtained from six replications formatted in Microsoft Excel and then processed with IBM SPSS Statistics 23.
Turbidity data and colony count were the means of six replications. There are four resistotypes of Acinetobacter baumannii tested. ATCC 19606 is Acinetobacter baumannii susceptible to meropenem, ampicillin-sulbactam, and amikacin. MDR 1 is a clinical isolate which is intermediate to ampicillin-sulbactam and resistant to meropenem and amikacin. MDR 2 is a clinical isolate intermediate to amikacin and resistant to meropenem and ampicillin-sulbactam. XDR is a clinical isolate which is resistant to all three antibiotics. The antibiotics tested were a combination of meropenem and ampicillin-sulbactam as well as meropenem and amikacin in four concentrations based on the CLSI MIC: 0.5 MIC+0.5 MIC; 1 MIC+1 MIC; 2 MIC+2MIC; 2 MIC+0.5 MIC. Turbidity data are expressed in McFarland units. Colony count data is expressed in units of log CFU/ml.
