Phytosterols ameliorate high-fat diet-induced sarcopenic obesity via intestinal microbiota reshaping

This dataset contains the raw 16S rRNA sequencing data from our study investigating the effects of phytosterols (PS) on high-fat diet-induced sarcopenic obesity in a rat model. The experiment involved treating rats with oral PS administration for 12 weeks, with comprehensive analysis of gut microbiota composition as a key component of the research.<br>The sequencing data includes all raw reads from fecal samples collected from control rats, high-fat diet (HFD) fed rats, and HFD+PS treated rats. The gut microbiota profiles were analyzed to identify taxonomic composition and relative abundance at phylum, family, and genus levels.<br>
