Rainfall erosivity (MJmm/ha/hr)

Rainfall erosivity (R) is defined as the mean annual sum of individual storm erosion index values, EI30 , where E is the total storm kinetic energy and I30 is the maximum 30-min rainfall intensity. The data is generated by using the models proposed by Yu and Rosewell (1996a, 1996b) and Yu (1998). Rainfall surfaces at 0.05 degree (approx 5km) resolution were interpolated from daily rainfall data from 1980-1999, provided by the Queensland Department of Natural Resources. The final result was re-gridded to 9 (approx 250m) resolution to match the other spatial data.
