<b>The Role of Gut Microbiota in Male Erectile Dysfunction of rats</b>
收藏资源简介:
This paper focuses on the role of intestinal flora in ED rat models induced by high fat diet. To investigate the effect and mechanism of HFD-induced intestinal flora dysregulation on erectile function. We established rat models of HFD and examined the effects of HFD on erectile function and intestinal microflora in rats. Then, we established FMT rat models to detect the effects of FMT on erectile function and intestinal microbiota in rats, and detected the differences in metabolites of intestinal microbiota in rats by non-targeted metabolomics, and conducted KEGG pathway enrichment analysis for the differential metabolites. We found that intestinal microbiota disorder induced by HFD can damage the intestinal barrier of rats, change the serum metabolic profile, induce low-grade inflammation and apoptosis in the corpus cavernosa of the penis, and then lead to the occurrence of erectile dysfunction. Therefore, gut microbiome-based detection of ED may provide a non-invasive and robust approach to ED diagnosis. The characteristics of intestinal flora and metabolites provide a new hypothesis for the etiology, prevention and treatment of ED.
