Energy from renewable sources and waste used for the generation of electricity, heat and transport fuels in the United Kingdom presented a trend of continuous growth, peaking at some 26.6 million metric tons of oil equivalent in 2022. Figures decreased slightly in 2021, amounting to roughly 25.4 million metric tons of oil equivalent.
