Low coverage genomes of Basotho individuals from Lesotho (n=103) and peoples (Damara, Himba, Herero, Ovambo) from Namibia (n=149)

Examining the effect of geography and cultural variables on genetic similarity among individuals and the influence of such factors in the saliva microbiome. The 252 participants in this study were low-pass sequenced to depths of coverage between 0.2X and 0.6X from saliva samples collected in 2009/2010 in Lesotho and Namibia. The fastq files contain both human endogenous reads and metagenomic reads from the saliva microbiome.
