资源简介:
With increasing work-related pressures within the healthcare sector as a backdrop, we are interested in the relationship between perfectionism and burnout in surgeons. Perfectionism is a complex characteristic that is often confused with other more adaptive traits. While it may have some apparent benefits, perfectionism appears primarily to be a source of mental health issues, including burnout. However, perfectionism is multidimensional and different dimensions are more problematic than others. So, in this study, we examine the degree to which demanding perfection from oneself (self-oriented perfectionism), demanding perfection from others (other-oriented perfectionism), and believing others demand perfection (socially prescribed perfectionism) predict burnout in surgeons with the aim of determining which of these are likely to be the most and least problematic in this context. unknown other
