Santa Monica Mountains samples from soil and lagoon sediment Raw sequence reads

We focused on four lagoons at the mouths of rivers running through a Mediterranean-type ecosystem in California Santa Monica Mountains, and Juan Bautista de Anza Park soil from above these watersheds in the SM Mountains. Two of the watersheds leading to the lagoons burned in the Woolsey Fire in 2018, and two did not. In Juan Bautista, some samples were from burned areas, some were not. From Juan Bautista, we sampled both surface and 10cm deep soil. Six locus metabarcoding following standard CALeDNA procedures was used to identify as many species as possible in the samples for community ecology analysis.
