The Role of Computerized Cognitive Stimulation in Schizophrenia: Effects on Neuroplasticity and Quality of Life

This project investigates the effects of computer-assisted cognitive stimulation using RehaCom software on cognitive function, psychiatric symptoms, and quality of life in patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. The study follows a prospective, non-randomized, comparative design and includes two groups: a control group and an intervention group receiving a six-week individualized cognitive training program. Assessments were conducted pre- and post-intervention using validated instruments such as MMSE, BPRS, QOLI, and RehaCom cognitive modules. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania (Approval No. 465/09.07.2024). This research is part of a doctoral project and aims to support the development of non-invasive cognitive therapies in psychiatric populations.
