China Southern Airlines: number of passengers 2011-2022, by routes

In 2022, China Southern Airlines carried 62.64 million passengers, 61.67 million of which were on domestic routes. A slight 1.7 percent recovery in passenger traffic on China Southern Airlines was observed in 2021 compared to the previous year. The decline in passenger numbers in 2020 and 2022 came as a result of reduced flight operations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel restrictions have been implemented in various countries around the world to curb the spread of the virus.
