Soybean (Glycine max) was cultivated at no-irrigated fields around Naiman region.However,the Naiman Station has an experimental field with an irrigation system for the study to clarify the efficacy of irrigation. The micrometeorological measurements were conducted at soybean fields of the irrigated field ( belongs to the Station) and at no-irrigated fields ( belongs to village farmers).The irrigation interval of the measurement site was decided by the Naiman Station. The measurement was carried out in early August 1991,late August 1992 and mid-August 1993. In1991, the study site was located at an extensive flat field near the Naiman Station.This field was irrigated almost every two weeks. The area of the soybean field was about 0.4ha (50m from north to south and about 80m from east to west).In the measurement period,the soybean was in its flowering stage and the canopy height was about 0.5m. In 1992,the study site was located at 1.1km south from the residence of Yaoledianzi village and there was no irrigation system.The area of the study site was about 0.4ha ( about 70 m in diameter ). The canopy height was about 0.7m during the measurement period. In1993, the measurement was carried out at both sites of irrigated and non-irrigated fields.The irrigated field was located besides the Naiman Station and the area was about 0.5ha.The canopy height was approximately 0.7m.The no irrigation field was Iocated at 1.5km northeast from the Naiman Station.The field area was about l ha ( 40m from north to south and 250m from east to wes). The canopy height was approximately 0.3m. The turbulent fluxes of sensible heat, latent heat, CO2 were measured using the Heat balance Bowen ratio method and the Gradient method.
